I lived in Germany for part of my youth...I was between the ages of ten and twelve. It was sort of a bad time to be introduced to a foreign country. Kids are horrible cruel, and I got the brunt of it. It was relentless, but I've gotten over that period in my life. I choose to remember those times not for who I associated with, for there were few, but for the things I got to see and the places we got to go. I lived in a small housing area called Vossberg, and we had a fruit truck that would come around and sell us fresh fruit. How I long for those days....fresh cherries, as well as other fruits! Germans have the best market places ever. It's all local too!

They just made their stores here in town wireless hotspots! I'm ecstatic. Now I can get hi speed internet within walking distance again! Woohoo!

I haven't written much in some time. I haven't even written any poetry for a while. I moved into a diffrent trailer, as the last one made me so nervous. The electricity was something awful, and the ants were horrendous! The new trailer has been cared for much better, so I've got something that feels like a home. I have my furniture arranged in such a way as to welcome people. It just feels like a home, and I haven't felt this way in a long time, if ever! I feel like I could have someone over for coffee, and not be ashamed. My neighborhood isn't the greatest, but the worst of it is in the back. I don't mind them if I don't have to look at them.

I just had to do it, as the ants and the smell were already too much to deal with. Also, I don't have the remainders of the previous tenants cats to deal with. I'm totally against owning a cat now, as they can be dirty if not attended to properly. I think a dog would be a much better alternative. At least with a dig you can put the thing outside on a leash awhile. I dogsat for a time this past week, and this dog was so nice, it was unbelievable. She didn't bark much and she never peed on the floor. Had a great time with her.I'm getting basic cable hooked up today. Im anxious to watch CSPAN! My favorite channel. sad huh?

I walk into my computer room, sit down and notice a plethora of ants wandering around. I'm looking around thinking, "what are they after?" I forgot that I had a box of candies sitting nearby. Thos ants are too darned smart for my personal comfort. They were on that box like you wouldn't believe. I think I'm going to have to get the fogger and really do a thorough job of fogging the place. I'm getting sick of this.

I've been writing poetry off and on for approximately five years. I'm fond of some of it, and some of it is total crap, or needs work. My minor at Western Illinois University is Creative Writing, with the emphasis on poetry. I'm learning from some great minds that's for sure. I'll be including random poems as they either come to me, or I find them on storage media. Stay tuned.

Let's take a ride in my caravan
to a place where rare flowers grow
to our home beneath the oak tree
that no one else will know.
We've done our deeds.
It's time to fly
to our glittering castles
and fields of rye.
The frigid winds blow across the plains.
When will I feel the heat again?
Goodbyes will come and go.
They're not all permanent, you know
